Panaromic istanbul Tour
Excursion Description
Many poems and legends are dedicated to Istanbul - a real cradle of civilizations, which today is a kind of bridge between European and Asian culture. Istanbul is unique in everything - in each of its districts, in each of its squares, you can find something unimaginably beautiful. Our walk through panoramic Istanbul will allow you to walk through the most amazing places in the city and discover new facets of the magnificent city.
Few people know that Istanbul is beautiful not only on the surface. A unique structure, an underground reservoir of the former Constantinople, has been preserved underground. Its beauty lies in the fact that the columns of ancient temples were used in the construction, which were taken from everywhere. As a result, there are 336 columns of different eras, through which you can literally trace the historical pattern in construction. Each column is a separate work of art - you can endlessly peer into the heads of the Gorgon Medusa, look for patterns in the lines and just admire the interior decoration.
We will definitely take a bird's-eye view of Istanbul and ride the cable car to the top of the hill, where the French officer Pierre Loti was inspired for his compositions. Loti sought his inspiration in the picturesque landscapes of Istanbul, which opened from the top of this hill.
The small coffee shop that exists in this place is ready to welcome you with a cup of aromatic Turkish coffee with a piece of Turkish delight and take you to the atmosphere of the colonial era, when sailing and traveling around the world were held in high esteem.
You will definitely visit the European heart of Istanbul - the Beyoglu district. The atmosphere of modern Europe reigns here - business centers, culture parks, shopping centers and modern residential complexes - make Beyoglu a piece of Europe, surrounded by a typical Turkish cultural atmosphere.
In addition to modern architecture, there are also historical sites in this part of Istanbul. One of these is the Galata Tower - the hallmark of the Galata district. In 2020, the tower was handed over to the Turkish Ministry of Tourism, which turned a significant historical site into a full-fledged museum.
Modern subways are growing and developing at an unprecedented speed. But the romance of Istanbul lies precisely in the pristine appearance, which is decorated with things like Istanbul Tunel. Having made its first run in 1875 and receiving the title of the oldest functioning metro to date, Tünel has not lost its charm.
In the modern sense, Tunel is more like a funicular than a full-fledged metro, but the Turks recognize the metro. The tunnel connected the Karaköy and Beyoğlu stations, the upper and lower stations, with a total distance of 573 meters.
Moving to the upper station, we will find ourselves on Istiklal Street. Istiklal Street is a modern paradise for shopaholics. Endless shops, restaurants, bars and shopping centers are a kind of Istanbul Arbat of its time. At the source of Istiklal is Taksim Square. This is not the central square of all taxi drivers, as our tourists like to joke - this is one of the main panoramas of Istanbul. Entering any souvenir shop, you are sure to come across many magnets and postcards with a red tram going deep into the district - this is Taksim Square.
No trip to Istanbul is complete without a walk along the Bosphorus. Crossing the Bosphorus, you will notice the amazing contrast of the modern European side, which will gradually change to the authenticity of Asian Istanbul. Approaching the coast of Asia, you will not be able to miss the famous Maiden Tower, which often flashed on television screens in popular Turkish TV series.
Stepping on the Asian side, we will climb to the highest observation deck on this side of Istanbul - we will find ourselves on Çamlıca Hill. It is the Çamladcı Hill that is a popular gathering place for Turkish youth - after studying, students come here to socialize and have fun in the company. With stunning views of sunset Istanbul and proudly sprawling European Istanbul, we will conclude our journey through the city.
A lifetime is not enough to experience the beauty of Istanbul. Every time you find yourself in the city, you want to plunge into this ocean of turbulent Turkish life. You can give your heart to Istanbul and come back here again and again. And we will show you what the towering hills of Istanbul and its surroundings hide.
