The experience includes a traditional kese exfoliation, followed by a relaxing foam massage. The combination of warm steam, exfoliation and abundant soap foam leaves you feeling refreshed and relaxed.

What to Expect

Your Sultan Hammam Experience in Istanbul begins with a convenient hotel pick-up from selected central areas. Upon arrival at the hammam, you will be welcomed and shown to the changing facilities before beginning your traditional bathing experience.

The experience starts with approximately 20 minutes in the sauna. The warm environment helps prepare you for the traditional hammam ritual that follows.

You will then enter the marble hammam and relax on the heated göbek taşı, the central marble platform traditionally used in Turkish baths. Surrounded by marble and warm steam, this is the perfect moment to slow down and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the hammam.

The traditional cleansing ritual then begins with a kese exfoliation. Using a traditional exfoliating mitt, the bath attendant gently removes dead skin from the surface of the body, leaving the skin feeling refreshed and smooth.

Following the exfoliation, enjoy a traditional foam massage. The bath attendant creates a generous layer of soft soap foam and uses it as part of a relaxing cleansing and massage ritual.

After the treatment, you will have time to relax and enjoy a drink in the designated relaxation area. A glass of Turkish tea or juice provides a pleasant way to complete the experience before your return transfer.

At the end of the visit, your driver will transfer you back to your hotel, leaving you refreshed and with a memorable experience of one of Istanbul's most distinctive traditions.
