Day 2 – Pergamon & Smyrna: In the Footsteps of the Seven Churches

The second day of your Seven Churches of Revelation journey takes you to two of the most important biblical cities of Asia Minor: Pergamon and Smyrna.
Begin the day in Pergamon, one of the most powerful cities of the ancient world and home to one of the Seven Churches mentioned in the Book of Revelation. Perched high above the surrounding plains, the magnificent Acropolis offers breathtaking views and remarkable insights into the cultural, political, and religious life of the Roman era. The visit also includes the impressive Red Basilica, one of the largest ancient structures in Anatolia, later transformed into an important Christian sanctuary.
Continue to Smyrna, present-day İzmir, another of the Seven Churches addressed by St. John in the Book of Revelation. Renowned for its steadfast Christian community and rich historical heritage, Smyrna played a vital role in the spread of Christianity throughout the region. Walking through this ancient city allows visitors to connect with centuries of faith, history, and civilization.
As the day concludes, travel along the scenic Aegean coast to Kuşadası, a charming seaside resort town that serves as the gateway to several of Türkiye’s most significant biblical and archaeological treasures. Day 3 – Ephesus: The Heart of Early Christianity

Today, discover Ephesus, one of the most remarkable ancient cities in the world and one of the most significant destinations of the Seven Churches of Revelation journey.

After breakfast, travel to the magnificent city of Ephesus, once the capital of Roman Asia and a thriving center of commerce, culture, and faith. Mentioned in the Book of Revelation as the first of the Seven Churches, Ephesus played a crucial role in the spread of Christianity throughout the ancient world. Day 4 – Sardis, Philadelphia, Laodicea & Pamukkale: Exploring the Remaining Churches of Revelation

Today is one of the most remarkable days of the journey, as you will visit three of the Seven Churches of Revelation while discovering some of Türkiye’s most extraordinary historical and natural treasures.

After breakfast, depart towards Sardis, the ancient capital of the powerful Lydian Kingdom and one of the Seven Churches addressed in the Book of Revelation. Once renowned for its immense wealth and as the home of King Croesus, Sardis became an important center of early Christianity. Visitors can explore impressive archaeological remains, including ancient streets, temples, and one of the largest synagogues of the Roman world.

The journey continues to Philadelphia, known today as Alaşehir. Unlike many ancient cities that have faded into history, Philadelphia was praised in the Book of Revelation for its faithfulness and perseverance. The city played a significant role in the spread of Christianity throughout Asia Minor and remains one of the most cherished locations among biblical travelers.

Next, visit Laodicea, one of the most prominent cities of Roman Asia and another of the Seven Churches of Revelation. Famous for its wealth, textile industry, and medical school, Laodicea is remembered in the New Testament for the message delivered to its church regarding spiritual commitment. Today, visitors can admire extensive excavations, including ancient streets, churches, theaters, fountains, and public buildings that reveal the grandeur of this once-flourishing metropolis.

The day continues with a visit to the ancient city of Hierapolis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site founded around the region's thermal springs. DAY 5 > Drive to Cappadocia – Journey Through Ancient Anatolia

Your first stop will be the ancient Pisidia Ancient City, located approximately 265 km away after a 3-hour drive.
